1966 AL Game: Bsn. at Chi.

Tony ConigliaroMay 30, 1966

Tony Conigliaro launched 3 homeruns and had 5 RBI at Comiskey Park as the
Boston Red Sox beat the Chicago White Sox by the count of 5 to 4.

Conigliaro provided much of the offense. He lofted a three-run bomb in the
4th inning, delivered a solo blast in the 6th inning and smashed a
bases-empty 'big-fly' in the 8th inning. Boston totaled 7 hits on the
afternoon.

Earl Wilson(6-3) allowed 4 runs in 7 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Wilson got help from Ken Sanders who was credited with his 3rd save.
John Buzhardt(2-1) absorbed the loss. He surrended 3 homeruns in his 8
innings.

Conigliaro was in a good mood after the game, 'I'm just seeing and hitting the
ball real well now. I made some adjustments last week and they are paying
off. That's what this game is about. making adjustments as the season goes
along.'
