The Baltimore Oriole's acquisition of Frank Robinson (pictured) before the start of this season continues to pay dividends as Robinson has helped, in a big way, to lead the Orioles to 1st place in the AL. He's hitting .339 with 20 HR and 35 RBI. His teammate Boog Powell continues his hot hitting and both players are among the top 5 in the major batting categories. The Detroit Tigers Norm Cash, .342 12 36, is another player in the top 5. Chicago White Sox pitcher Joel Horlen leads the AL with 7 wins. The Minnesota Twins Jim Kaat has 6 wins to go along with a league best 2.25 ERA. Kansas City Athletic's Bert Campaneris leads the AL with a .359 BA.
