May 16, 1966The Detroit Tigers announced today that their manager, Chuck Dressen, has suffered a heart attack and is currently hospitalized in Detroit in 'fair condition'. It is Dressen's 2nd heart attack in 2 yrs. Third base Coach Bob Swift has been named as the interim manager. The Tigers have an off day today before starting a 2 game series here at home against the 1st place New York Yankees.
