WEB GEMS- Bot 6th: Clay Dalrymple blocked the plate, saving a run!

Jim Wynn had 6 hits and 5 RBI as the Houston Astros rallied impressively to
win in dramatic style over Philadelphia Phillies, 12 to 11.

Houston scored the winning runs in the 9th inning when they tallied 4 runs on
6 hits. The critical plate appearance was by Wynn who made the home-town
crowd a happy bunch when he doubled scoring two baserunners. Houston
provided plenty of action in the 9th inning when they had 4 runs on 6 hits.
This was the kind of game that many fans love as the lead changed hands 7
times.

Don Lee(1-0) picked up the victory, allowing 1 run in 2/3 of an inning. Ray
Culp(0-2) was the losing pitcher in relief. He got hit pretty hard, allowing
10 hits and 4 walks in 2 and 2/3 innings.
